We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food served at this restaurant. There’s a clear difference between the food made in Canola oil at other restaurants and the food that Southern Spice offers, made in peanut oil & ghee that is much superior. Not only were we greeted by the owners with warmth but they also made sure to check on us at the table to ensure we were served well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates quality Indian food .

The ambience is nice, and it’s worth a try if you’re curious. However, the food was just okay — not particularly impressive. I tried the Non-Veg Thali, mutton Biryani, Chicken Roast, and Chicken Curry. Unfortunately, the quality and quantity didn’t feel worth the price. The dishes lacked freshness and some weren’t feel the hot, which affected the overall experience. There’s definitely room for improvement, with ghee roast and thali. especially in terms of quantity and heat quality.

Really enjoyed our meal here. The Non Veg Thali and Ravva Dosa were excellent. The place has a great ambiance and is very clean. Love the eco-friendly touch with the paper plates and cups. Will be back for sure!

Loved this place! The food was super tasty and felt so clean and fresh. You can tell they really care about how they cook – no reused oil, just proper home-style preparation. Every bite reminded me of a good home-cooked food. I am not writing this review first visit. It’s our third time and loved every time we eat here. Highly recommended spot!!

Visited a new restaurant in town and had a great experience! The ambiance was excellent, and the location is easy to access. We tried the biryani, mango mousse, and a few beverages — everything was delicious. The customer service was outstanding as well. Definitely planning to visit again!

Been to Southern spice a couple of times and pleasantly surprised both times. The good: solid south indian, generqlly Andhra/tamil good. Very good dosas and sincere thali with proper combo of food. Decent list of menu items and all of them at our table felt fresh and right. Most food is reasonable priced for the local market. Some things can be tweaked a bit, like...idli can be improved to be fluffier. I am glad that they are using paper cups and plates instead of plastic, though it could cost them more. Overqll nice vibe and good supportive staff. TASTE gets them 5 stars

We ate dinner at the Southern Spice restaurant last week. This new restaurant had only been open for a week. The ambience was lovely with beautiful portraits, and the food was delicious, and the ingredients and flavor made it seem like it had been made at home. Dosa, chicken and veggie biryani, salan/gravy, and the dessert were all delicious. The food was served in biodegradable, eco-friendly containers along with the compostable cutlery. Our only recommendation is to have a recycling bin if you continue to provide plastic water bottles. I highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely be back.
